Rockledge Monument           Fox Chase Monument       Restoration Chairman

World War I Memorials originally built and dedicated on November 11, 1921 at the Veterans Day parade held each year after WWI in center city Philadelphia. Originally built by the EMERGENCY AID COMMITTEE of Pennsylvania, Rockledge/Fox Chase branch. The Fox Chase monument(West side) honors those citizens of the Fox Chase Community who served in the "Great War". The Rockledge monument (East side) honors those citizens of the Rockledge Community who served in the "Great War". The organization met in the Holy Nativity Church located in Rockledge and supported the men and women in the war effort.  This restoration project was a 17 year voluntary effort and some monies by my wife Jennie and myself to rebuild these monuments for the communities. They were redicated November 11 2008. The ceremony was held with the cooperation of the Saint Timothy Luthern Church.

On July 27th 2015 the monuments were accepted for addition to The Historical Society of Pennsylvania collections.
